The Transformation Process – Step by Step

For a long time, we observed that our previous Academy did not meet expectations – outdated technology, a non-intuitive interface, cumbersome registration, and malfunctioning activation codes significantly hindered platform usability. Until now, logging in was only possible on computers or laptops, and access to content was limited to owners of our personal trainers (Aspire and Advance). We decided it was time for changes that would make the Academy more modern, transparent, and accessible to everyone.

Our journey began with in-depth interviews with users (both of the Academy and the store). We also collected valuable feedback from our Support Team: we analyzed your inquiries and questions about functionality. Equally important were the opinions of Laparo simulator users, who guided us toward solutions that would be most desirable for individual users through usability tests.

Based on this information, we developed a new architecture for the Academy and realized that changes were also necessary in the structure and function of the courses. We organized a series of workshops with medical students and our content writers to precisely define the direction of these changes.

After approving the concept, our designers created a new project, which was implemented by our development team. Before launching the Academy for you, it underwent a series of rigorous tests. This allowed us to identify any shortcomings and refine the final product, ensuring its reliability and high quality.

We are closer to you! Through the platform, we can more effectively inform you about new courses and events – and we have some exciting plans that you’ll hear about soon! We encourage you to connect with us and other Academy users via Discord – share your training successes, interesting findings, and make new connections.

🔸 Easier Learning Path Planning
Now you can easily browse all available courses and select those you want to participate in. Difficulty levels, filters, and tags will help guide you to training that develops the skills you seek or helps master a specific anatomical structure. Each course also includes an estimated duration and information on necessary training accessories.

🔸 Comprehensive Surgery Courses
Each surgical course covers all stages of a procedure, rather than focusing only on training scenarios. Equally important elements include content on pre- and postoperative patient care, surgical indications and contraindications, and postoperative complications.

🔸 Skill Courses
The courses you have previously encountered have undergone a slight transformation. Basic Skills, Basic Suturing Skills, Intermediate Skills, and Advanced Suturing Skills have been renamed to General Skills, Introduction to Suturing, Suturing, and Master Skills. The placement of scenarios within the courses, their order, and their names have been slightly adjusted to better reflect the purpose of the courses and the scenarios they contain. The courses are now also divided into thematic blocks, and the descriptions of instructions and training preparation are more precise and unambiguous.

Regular training and content revision are crucial in learning. With a personalized dashboard, you can track your learning streak, completed courses and quizzes, and your progress within each course.

🔸 Quizzes and Certificates
After completing a course, you can reinforce your knowledge by taking a quiz and then downloading a certificate of participation. Celebrate both your small and big achievements!

🔸 Our Academy is Just the Beginning
While we put great effort into creating detailed and valuable content, we do not claim to be a medical textbook. Instead, we aim to inspire you to keep learning. Therefore, each course includes a list of recommended literature to further expand your knowledge.

In the previous Academy, we had nearly 2,000 users from all over the world. It is a great challenge and responsibility to ensure that the introduced changes bring benefits and satisfaction to such a diverse community. Each of you uses the Academy differently, but we believe that the new solutions will prove useful and help you develop your skills..

↪️ What We Left Behind

In the new version, we have removed a few features, such as training recording and downloads, step previews in the training window, and audio and subtitles in tutorials.

↪️ What Remains the Same

The assessment of whether you have completed the training correctly still remains in your hands. You decide whether to mark the training as completed or confirm that you have mastered the material from the article by checking the Lesson Completed checkbox. However, for each training scenario, we have added hints (in the Keep Your Attention section), which we hope will help you make an informed decision.

The training scenarios themselves have not changed – the video tutorials and instructions remain the same, they have only been given new names, and their descriptions have been updated and streamlined.

Quality and credibility remain incredibly important to us. That’s why we ensure high-quality content and consult it with specialists. Each course is written by content writers with a background in medicine and thoroughly reviewed by an expert in the respective field.

Training scenarios on physical modules – although we have supplemented the courses with additional content, training on silicone modules remains a very important element of learning. We create them from high-quality materials with great attention to anatomical accuracy.

We’re not stopping – in fact, the new Academy is just the beginning! We have ambitious development plans. Soon, we will restore course scenarios from the previous version and introduce new topics, including basic laparoscopy, surgical instruments, pediatric surgery, and gynecology. We also plan to add review and preparatory courses for more complex procedures.

An important aspect for us will also be the development of functionality, including the training view, as well as regular publication of valuable content on the blog.
