Scenario Description
Applying clips is one of the easiest and fastest ways to close off vessels. Learn how to properly use the clip applier in this simple exercise.
Instructions
- Place clips at the vessel using a dissector and clip applier. Rotate the clip applier to visually confirm that the clip fully encloses the structure.
- Squeeze the clip applier with maximum force, then reload it with another clip.
- After placing two clips, use scissors to partially cut the clipped vessel, confirming that the clips are properly secured with no leakage.
- Once confirmed, proceed to cut the remaining portion of the clipped structure.
Preparation
 Training module
Place a single dye-filled tube into the Tissue Holder Module as shown, and position the module in the operating area.

Place the module in the training area in the middle position.
 Instruments
Prepare 5 mm instruments: grasper, clip applier, and scissors. Before starting the exercise, prepare and load the clip applicator.
 Instrument ports
Use the 2nd and 9th instrument ports.
 Accessories
Prepare 3 clips.
