Laparoscopy in Veterinary Medicine – New Surghero Modules!

Ovariectomy (removal of the ovaries)

One of the most common procedures in small animal surgery. With this module you will practice:

🔹identifying the ovary in the abdominal cavity,

🔹ligating blood vessels,

🔹removing the gonad and closing the incision.

It’s a fundamental, yet highly important procedure that builds solid foundations in veterinary surgery.

Cryptorchid Castration (abdominal cryptorchidism)

A procedure performed in dogs with an undescended testis. The training includes:

🔹 locating the testis in the abdominal cavity,

🔹 ligating the vessels,

🔹 laparoscopic removal of the gonad.

This is a more demanding procedure that helps develop precision and instrument-handling skills.

They help you build confidence and fluency that directly translates into safety and effectiveness in real clinical practice.
