Gastric Bypass training module
The Gastric Bypass module includes training in the stage of closing the enterotomy, which involves suturing the hole created by the stapler to create a tight connection between the stomach and the small intestine. This is one of the stages in restoring the continuity of the digestive tract during gastric bypass surgery. The exercise also includes training the staple line oversewing after using the stapler to increase the tightness of created anastomosis. Nissen Fundoplication training module
The Nissen Fundoplication Module involves training in suturing the esophageal hiatus in the diaphragm to prevent the stomach from moving into the chest cavity and hernia recurrence. The second stage of the training involves creating a gastric wrap (fundoplication) around the lower esophagus.
