Nephron Sparing Surgery (NSS) – training module

The Nephron Sparing Surgery (NSS) module for laparoscopic training enables the procedure of organ-sparing resection of kidney tumors, i.e., excision of tumors with preservation of the organ. The anatomical parts were made of silicone, imitating human tissues. The model reproduces the kidney placed in the fat capsule, the renal pelvis, and the renal vein and artery. The training module has three tumors of different sizes to be removed or enucleated. The stand contains imitation vascular clamps to simulate warm ischemia time counting.
