Hemicolectomy – training module
The Hemicolectomy training module includes training in the final stage of right-sided hemicolectomy – closure of the enterotomy, which involves suturing the hole created by the stapler to create a tight connection between the large intestine and the small intestine. The exercise involves suturing the remaining hole with a continuous stitch, ensuring that the last stitch is placed outside the area to provide a secure closure of the anastomosis.
